Employment visa is issued to employees in private companies or government sectors for a validity of two years. While a Freelance Visa is a type of residence permit which allows the holder to work as a freelance professional in UAE and is valid for two years.

Eligibility criteria for Employment of Freelance Visa application
Foreigners aged 18 or older can work in the UAE if they meet the standards set by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) or relevant Freezone authority. There’s no upper age limit for employment, but companies must pay a higher fee for workers over 65.
Foreign workers are divided into three categories, based on their academic qualifications/skill sets:
- Category 1: If you have at least a bachelor’s degree
- Category 2: If you have a post-secondary diploma in any field
- Category 3: If you have a high school diploma
